Trønder Food Festival is one of Europe's leading festivals for local food, and it takes place in Trondheim. The festival brings together approximately 200 exhibitors from 14 different regions, and offers unique opportunities for meetings between food and drink producers. The event also includes courses and food seminars, as well as activities for children and a special dinner known as the Chef's Dinner. The festival has a strong focus on sustainability and local products, which is reflected in several of the activities on offer.
The festival is organized by Oi! Trøndersk mat og drikke AS, which aims to further develop Trøndelag as a prominent food region. Through collaboration with local producers and food networks, Oi! to increase value creation within the food sector by highlighting raw materials and culture from Trøndelag. The festival also includes the Oi!-Retten and award ceremonies, which recognize the quality and innovation of local food.
