Trondhjems Maler og Byggtapetserlaug has been active since 1989 and offers training in painting. The organization focuses on various aspects of the profession, including painting, flooring and wallpapering. Anyone who is interested can apply to become an apprentice, and those who are accepted receive a salary during their education. This helps to make the profession more accessible to new talent.
The guild has a strong focus on the recruitment and follow-up of apprentices, which ensures that they receive the necessary support throughout the education process. Member companies in the guild prioritize education and permanent employment for apprentices, which contributes to a stable workforce in the industry. In addition, Trondhjems Maler and Byggtapetserlaug offer free online training for aid workers who want to take the journeyman's test, which further promotes skills development in the field.
