The Resource Center for Violence, Traumatic Stress and Suicide Prevention (RVTS Midt) aims to contribute to preventing and managing the consequences of violence and traumatic stress. The center offers skills development, counseling and support to both professionals and affected individuals. Through various initiatives and projects, RVTS Midt works to raise awareness of the topics of violence, traumatic stress and suicide prevention.
RVTS Midt is part of a national network of resource centers and has a special focus on adapting its services to the needs of Central Norway. The center collaborates with the health care system, municipalities and other stakeholders to develop effective interventions and support systems. This includes both research and development of methods that can be used in practice to help those affected by violence or trauma.
