The Police Lost and Found Warehouse and Auction House in Hamar handles lost and seized items. This office is responsible for storing lost and found items until they can be returned to their owners or otherwise disposed of. The items can range from personal belongings to valuable objects that have been found or seized by the police.
When appropriate, auctions are held to sell items that have not been claimed by their owners. The auctions provide the public with the opportunity to bid on these items, and the proceeds from the sales go to the state treasury. The Police Lost and Found Warehouse and Auction House thus contribute to the efficient management of lost and found items and ensure that items that are not claimed are given a new fate.
