Ålesund Voluntary Center functions as an interest organization for volunteer centres, with a focus on facilitating experience sharing and competence development. The organization offers resources and tools that contribute to high quality in the local work with volunteering. Through their activities, they work to strengthen and support the volunteer centres' finances and operations.
In addition to this, Ålesund Voluntary Center has a particular focus on language training and community involvement. They arrange digital meeting places that promote local volunteering policy, and actively engage in political processes to ensure increased support for volunteering. This helps to create a more inclusive and active society where volunteers can play an important role.
