The family protection office Sunnmøre has branches in Ålesund and Volda, and offers free services to everyone without a referral requirement. The office focuses on conversation and communication in families, and aims to help couples and families experiencing crises or challenges. In order to meet the needs of users, they are actively working to reduce the waiting time for help.
In addition to traditional conversations, the Family Welfare Office offers digital courses that deal with family and cohabitation issues. They also have a podcast called "Hjemmebane", where relevant topics are discussed. The office offers video consultations, and physical meetings must be arranged in advance.
