Ålesund Motorboat Association was established on 11 September 1955 and today has around 500 members. The association offers berths at two harbours, Gåseidvika and Storvika, and has harbor regulations that regulate membership and harbor rent. There are waiting lists for berths, which indicates a high demand for berths.
Members can take advantage of a discount agreement with AS Fiskevegn, as well as participate in a Facebook group for communication and sharing of information. The association also has a board and harbor committees that have an overview of the operation and the members. This contributes to an organized and structured operation of the association and its activities.
