Kirkens Sos Møre og Romsdal is a voluntary organization based in Ålesund, which offers a 24-hour crisis service via telephone and internet. The organization handles approximately 400 inquiries daily, which underlines the need for their services in the community. Through their work, they focus on providing support to people in crisis and need.
To strengthen its volunteer network, Kirkens Sos Møre og Romsdal offers introductory courses for new volunteers. These courses include training in conversational skills and digital course collections that are adapted to current situations. Volunteers are also given the opportunity to take part in trial shifts, and arrangements are made for both digital and physical participation in the shifts. This makes it easier for more people to get involved in the organisation's work.
