Bergen Afro Arts Festival is a platform established by Simba Arts, with the aim of celebrating cultural diversity and giving a voice to minority groups in Bergen. The festival focuses on ethno-art and aims to mobilize and engage people of different nationalities in positive social actions through popular culture.
Music plays a central role in the festival's activities, with a particular emphasis on Mbira and Marimba music, which are used to promote social transformation and development. Through this initiative, local communities and young people are encouraged to be pluri-versatile, which means embracing and celebrating diversity in its various forms. The festival serves as an arena for the exchange of cultural expressions and strengthening community.
