Bergen Assembly is an art center that emphasizes collective and personal reflection on themes such as insecurity and brutality in society. The center offers a varied program of exhibitions and events at various venues in Bergen, including parties, artist talks, readings, concerts, performances and workshops. This gives visitors the opportunity to engage with contemporary art on multiple levels.
One of the distinctive activities at Bergen Assembly is the decentralized city-wide exhibition, which is carried out in collaboration with the Communist Museum of Palestine. In addition, the center has an open office that functions as a public work and event space, where forgotten ideas and new insights can be explored. Bergen Assembly thus contributes to a dynamic art scene and promotes dialogue on important social issues.
