Bergen Red Cross is a non-profit organization that has a wide range of activities and services, run by approximately 1,000 volunteers. The organization focuses on humanitarian work in the local community and offers, among other things, homework help for both young people and adults. Every Friday, an open house is arranged, where people can participate in socializing and various activities.
In addition to the aforementioned services, Bergen Red Cross provides opportunities for individuals to become volunteers and contribute their time and expertise. Membership in the organization gives voting rights at the annual meeting and supports humanitarian work. The organization also participates in the grassroots donor scheme, which is a way to support local volunteering.
