Buskerud Kunstsenter is an important player in contemporary art in Drammen, with a goal of developing the art field both locally and nationally. The center organizes a number of exhibitions, including current exhibitions and scholarship exhibitions, which give artists the opportunity to showcase their work. In addition to visual art forms, the art center offers film screenings and listening sessions, which contribute to a broader understanding of art and culture.
The art center emphasizes collaboration with both local and national artists, and has open invitations for artists through so-called Open Calls. This provides a platform for new voices and projects in contemporary art. Through its work, Buskerud Kunstsenter promotes cultural exchange and creates a dynamic environment for those interested in art.
