Drammen Pølseforening was founded in 2019 and serves as a gathering for sausage lovers and sausage enthusiasts in Norway. The association aims to spread joy and good humor in society, as well as provide information about different types of sausages and sausage producers. Members can participate in monthly sausage evenings, where they can share their interest in sausages in a social setting.
The association also organizes the Sausage Festival, which is an event dedicated to celebrating sausages in various forms. Drammen Pølseforening offers an official clothing collection and has a membership fee that varies from 1 to 200 kroner. Membership cards are distributed at meetings, and the association engages in press coverage and community activities. It is independent of religion, political parties and financial interests, and all work is carried out on a voluntary basis.
