One of the central offerings is the Children's Red Cross (BARK), which is aimed at children aged 6-13. Participation in BARK groups is free of charge, but requires binding registration. BARK activities take place on specific days in even and odd-numbered weeks.
To support volunteers, Drammen Red Cross offers three-hour introductory courses free of charge. These courses give new volunteers an introduction to the organization's work and values. In addition, there is a separate section on BARK in the volunteer induction courses, which helps to strengthen the competence and commitment of those participating in the organization's activities.
