The Norwegian Church in Fredrikstad, also known as Fredrikstad Church Council, is a central player in the local community based in Kirkens hus. Here are the administration, switchboard and funeral office, as well as several congregations that offer various activities and services. The church has a low-threshold conversation service that is free and available to everyone, and there is the possibility of drop-in baptisms, where baptisms can be performed on site.
In addition to baptisms and confirmation services, which are open to everyone regardless of faith or doubt, the Norwegian Church in Fredrikstad is actively involved in humanitarian affairs, including peace work. The celebration of Creation Day is also part of the church's activities, which show a focus on the environment and sustainability. The church functions as a gathering point for congregations and activities, and offers information about various events and services related to baptisms, weddings and funerals.
