The organization is known for its motto "soup, soap and salvation", and works to support people in various life situations. Through activities for children, young people, the elderly and people in vulnerable situations, they create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate.

In addition, they have a national telephone service aimed at people over 60, which provides opportunities for conversations and support. The Salvation Army Department Torp Corps engages volunteers in its projects, and is part of the larger Christian church community, the Salvation Army, which aims to help people in need.
