Halden Experimental Art Center (H.E.K.S) is an artist-run gallery that aims to promote experimental art, with a particular emphasis on time-based art and sound. The gallery has been a platform for artists who want to explore new forms of expression and create innovative works.
H.E.K.S has received support from Halden Municipality, Viken County Municipality and the Norwegian Cultural Fund to realize its program. However, H.E.K.S is currently not active. The gallery has previously been an important part of the art community in Halden, and has contributed to promoting contemporary art in the region.
