Vattenfall Charging Station in Hamar offers charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The station is part of Vattenfall's commitment to promoting fossil-free and sustainable energy use. The company is actively working on the production of fossil-free electricity, including from offshore wind farms, and has initiatives that include growing seaweed in offshore wind areas.
In addition to charging facilities, Vattenfall is involved in the development of fossil-free steel, which has the potential to reduce global CO2 emissions by up to 7%. The company emphasizes electric transport as an important part of the transition to a fossil-free society. Vattenfall also publishes a monthly newsletter called "THE EDIT", which focuses on topics related to sustainable energy, and is collaborating on the development of new nuclear power in Sweden.
