The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Hammerfest Traffic Station, is a public agency that offers a number of services related to traffic and vehicles. Visitors must book an appointment in advance, as it is not possible to show up without an appointment. This system has been introduced to ensure more efficient service to users.
The traffic station has adapted services, including a specially adapted theory test for people with reading or writing difficulties. In addition, users can send a sales notice and pay for re-registration of vehicles. It is also possible to check the deadline for EU control, as well as use digital services for several processes. Visitors have the opportunity to change or cancel an appointment using a reference number, which contributes to flexibility and self-service.
