The learning workshop Bygdestua kindergarten in Harstad offers an educational offer for children aged 0-6 years, divided into two departments: Myreng for the youngest (0-3 years) and Ramnfløya for the older children (3-6 years). The kindergarten emphasizes care, friendship and good relationships between children and staff. Through participation in everyday tasks such as cooking and dressing, the children are given the opportunity to experience mastery.
The kindergarten actively uses the local environment, with trips to farms, the shore and the forest, which gives the children the opportunity to explore and learn about their surroundings. There is also a separate group for preschool children, where the focus is on water familiarization and school preparation. In addition, the kindergarten participates in local events such as concerts and festivals, which contributes to the children's social development and connection to the local community.
