Dyrebeskyttelsen Harstad works with the rehoming of homeless animals, with a special focus on cats. The organization offers information about the adoption process and the routines that go with it, and places great emphasis on animal welfare and responsible animal husbandry. To cover veterinary expenses, a rehoming fee is required upon adoption.
In addition to rehoming animals, Dyrebeskyttelsen Harstad aims to raise the status of animals in society. They regularly update a list of available animals on their Facebook page, which gives potential adopters the opportunity to see which animals are looking for new homes. The organization is committed to working for the best interests of animals, and is continuously working on measures to improve the situation for homeless animals.
