The Stord & Haugesund Student Housing Association is responsible for the ownership and operation of student housing in the region. The organization offers a diverse range of services tailored to the needs of students, including fitness centers, cafes with a varied menu, and kindergartens for students with children. This helps to create a comprehensive offer for students who want to combine studies with an active lifestyle and family obligations.
In addition to the housing offer, the Student Housing Association offers health and career services that are available to students. The profits from the operation go back to the students, which emphasizes the organization's focus on improving student life in Western Norway. The chairman of the board of the organization is always a student, which ensures that the students' voice is heard in decision-making processes.
