The Embassy of Portugal in Oslo acts as the official representation for Portugal in Norway. The embassy offers consular services to Portuguese citizens, which include assistance with passports, visas and other necessary documents. In addition, the embassy arranges regular consular presences in several Norwegian cities, including Reykjavik, Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim, to make it easier for citizens living outside the capital to access services.
The embassy also has an important role in supporting the Portuguese community in Norway. This includes information on legal frameworks for supporting community activities, as well as resources and advice for individuals and organisations. Furthermore, the embassy participates in the implementation of the European border control system "Entry/Exit System", which is part of the EU's measures to strengthen border control. The focus on culture, language and tourism related to Portugal is also a central part of the embassy's activities.
