Alfred Barnehage has six family nurseries located in Nordstrand and Sagene. The nursery emphasizes safety and care, and offers small groups to ensure closeness between children and carers. The educational management focuses on meeting the needs of the youngest children through phenomenology, which involves an approach that takes the children's experiences and perspectives into account.
In addition to the educational work, Alfred Kindergarten serves both a bread meal and a hot meal daily. The children get the opportunity to taste varied dishes, which promotes enjoyment of food and a healthy relationship with food. This contributes to overall development and well-being for the children in the nursery.
