The learning workshop Langbølgen kindergarten opened its doors in August 2019 and is located on the first floor of a new block of flats. The nursery has four departments and three workshop rooms, as well as a kitchen that is designed for educational activities. The location gives the children close proximity to light trails, forests, libraries, football pitches and toboggan runs, as well as access to ski slopes and livestock in the immediate area.
As part of Læringsverkstedet, one of Norway's largest private daycare chains, Langbølgen daycare focuses on creating an environment where every child is seen, heard and cared for. The educational concept emphasizes playful learning, interaction and mastery, with the aim of giving the children a solid foundation for development. The nursery emphasizes conveying the value of each individual child through positive interactions.
