Waldemar's kindergarten is an urban kindergarten in Oslo that offers a sheltered environment from the noise of the city. The nursery is located near green areas such as Iladalen and Brekkeskogen, which provides opportunities for outdoor activities and nature experiences.
A focus on good relationships between children and staff is central to Waldemar's kindergarten. Emphasis is placed on promoting emotions, free play and active adults who participate in the children's play and learning. The nursery has 16 employees, including seven trained pedagogues, and uses permanent, well-known substitutes when necessary to ensure continuity and security for the children. It is also a common arena for collaboration between the departments, which contributes to a holistic offer for the children's personal development.
