Bakkehaugen child protection center is a care institution in Oslo that targets young people aged 12 to 20 years. The center has the capacity to receive up to five young people, which contributes to a small and clear unit. This provides the opportunity for close follow-up and individual preparation for each young person.
The institution offers support in the transition phase to a new place of residence or own home, and focuses on including activities that are relevant to school, day care and leisure. Emphasis is also placed on facilitating contact with friends and family, which is important for the young people's social networks. The staff at Bakkehaugen Child Protection Center are experienced and dedicated, and work actively to give the young people the support they need in their development.
