Norway's car collectors' association, now known as Norske Bilressurser, is an organization that focuses on car assembly and recycling of used car parts. The association offers diploma training in the image montage profession, which is approved by the Directorate of Education. This helps to raise the level of competence within the industry. In addition, annual professional conferences are organised, where the next event will take place in Strømstad.
The members get access to a common database for used car parts, which provides opportunities for better resource utilization and collaboration. The association also emphasizes quality criteria for used car parts and environmental remediation, which is important for sustainable development in the industry. Norske Bilressurser collaborates with the European Group and Automotive Recycling Associations (EGARA) to promote industry development and share best practice. Company visits for members provide further insight into current topics and challenges in the sector.
