WSO - The national association We Shall Overcome has its head office in Oslo and focuses on human rights and self-determination in mental health. The organization works to promote legal certainty and human rights, and is actively involved in political issues related to mental health. Through seminars and community debates, they seek to raise awareness of important topics and challenges in the field.
In order to offer support and guidance to individuals, WSO has established a peer helpline. This initiative gives users of mental health care the opportunity to share experiences and receive help from people with a similar background. The organization also publishes newsletters that keep members and interested parties informed about current issues and activities. WSO works to restore humanity in mental health services, and includes perspectives from users in its work.
