Gamle Munch coffee bar is part of the YWCA-YFUM Forandringshuset and opened its doors on 21 September 2022. The café functions as a project where young people get the opportunity to learn about operations and work in a café setting. All income from the cafe goes to employ more young people in Forandringshuset, and this initiative is part of a larger collaboration with UngJobb in the Old Oslo district, which contributes with salary funds.
The cafe is also a platform for various social entrepreneurs who offer catering for events. Gamle Munch coffee bar aims to create open and safe communities, and it functions as a neighborhood café where young people can get involved. The cafe is involved in testing different content in collaboration with several actors, which contributes to a varied offer for visitors.
