Maridalen Church is located in Oslo and is known for its open and inclusive atmosphere. The church has established a practice of holding open church on Wednesdays, where visitors can come for silence, prayer or conversation. Parish priest Ketil Rosnes is present for those who want to have a chat. This offer has made the church a popular place to visit, with many visitors every week.
The church has undergone a modernization with a new extension that ensures universal design and easy access for everyone. Maridalen Church is also available for funerals, although it may be closed for such events. Since 2008, measures have been proposed to make the church more accessible to the local community.
