Carl Petter Opsahl is a clarinetist based in Oslo, known for his album releases and his specialization in traditional music from Gudbrandsdalen. He has developed a unique approach to the instrument by transferring hymn notes and fiddle beats to the bass clarinet, which gives a new dimension to the music. Opsahl also explores the tonal and melodic possibilities of the bass clarinet as a solo instrument, and his work includes a fusion of folk music with elements of funk and electronica.
In addition to his musical projects, Opsahl has recently released a single that has received a positive response. He is involved in various music events, and performs at weddings, conferences and concerts. His motto, "Music for life", reflects his dedication to music and its importance in life. Visions and Dreams, which deals in music production, also acts as a booking agent for Opsahl.
