ROM for art and architecture is an institution in Oslo that functions as a gathering place for art, architecture and local development. With a varied program that includes exhibitions, film screenings, debates and workshops, the venue offers a platform for both established and new voices in the field of art and architecture. Through its work, ROM promotes collaboration between Norwegian and international artists and researchers, which contributes to a dynamic and multidisciplinary approach.
The institution also acts as an exploratory resource for networks that wish to cross boundaries between different disciplines. In addition to the visual arts, ROM organizes lectures and text publications, which provide room for deeper reflection and discussion around current topics. In 2025, ROM will mark its 20th anniversary, which underlines the institution's long-standing commitment to art and architecture. During the year, summer and special schools are also offered, which give participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in various subjects related to art and architecture.
