Cermaq Group AS is a player in fish farming that specializes in the production of True Arctic Salmon. The company operates in clean and cold waters north of the Arctic Circle, which contributes to the quality of the salmon. Cermaq has a strong focus on sustainable farming, with an emphasis on fish health and welfare. The company delivers healthy salmon to over 30 countries globally, and works continuously to reduce the carbon footprint from farming.
To ensure self-sufficiency and optimal production, Cermaq builds post-smolt plants close to the sea plants. The company is also engaged in research and innovation in aquaculture, which is part of their long-term strategy for sustainable food production. Through these measures, Cermaq seeks to contribute to a more sustainable future for food production in the sea.
