Norges Bondelag is Norway's largest professional organization for farmers, with over 60,000 members. The organization works to improve the conditions for agriculture and actively participates in political debates related to food production and preparedness. Every year they negotiate with the state through the agricultural settlement to ensure good framework conditions for agriculture.
In addition to political work, Norges Bondelag organizes ØKOUKA, a week dedicated to promoting organic food. The organization also offers membership with various benefits and has an online store for agricultural products. They support local teams and shop stewards in agriculture, which helps to strengthen the community among farmers. Agriculture plays an important role in society by supplying safe, quality food, supporting settlement in rural areas and creating jobs in both agriculture and related industries.
