The Norwegian Correctional Service Oslo Probation Office is part of the Norwegian Correctional Service and its main task is to look after people who are subject to community punishment or parole. The office works with the rehabilitation and reintegration of people back into society, and offers various services and measures to support this process.
The Probation Office has a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with various agencies, including healthcare, social services and educational institutions, to ensure that the individual receives the necessary follow-up. The office's work is based on principles of resocialization and prevention of relapse into crime, and they adapt the measures to individual needs.
In addition to following up on individuals, the office helps to inform about and prevent crime in the local community. This may include working with schools and organizations to promote positive activities and attitudes among young people. The Oslo Probation Office thus plays an important role in the crime prevention work in the region.
