The Norwegian Parliament, known as the Storting, is Norway's national assembly and has been the country's political center for many years. The building, which has historical significance, houses the elected representatives who work on legislation and political debates. The Storting offers information on issues that are dealt with, as well as an overview of meetings and hearings, which gives insight into the political process.
In addition to its legislative work, the Storting offers tours and learning games for visitors, as well as courses and teaching services for schools. This helps to increase understanding of democracy and the political structure in Norway. The Storting is also involved in control activities and committee work, and publishes statistics and open data that are available to the general public. Environmental work and sustainability measures are also part of the Storting's activities, which reflect a modern approach to political responsibility.
