The Oslo Municipality air quality monitoring station is part of the city's administration and its main task is to monitor the air quality in Oslo. The station collects data on various pollutants and climate conditions, and helps to provide a comprehensive overview of the air conditions in the area. This is important in order to be able to assess and improve air quality, as well as to inform citizens about health risks linked to air pollution.
The data collected at the station is used to develop measures and strategies to reduce pollution and improve the quality of life in the city. The station collaborates with other public agencies and research institutions to ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date. Through continuous monitoring, the station contributes to more sustainable urban development and to meeting national and international environmental targets.
