The institution has a chapel available for meditation and reflection, as well as meditation booklets for residents and relatives. Hovseterhjemmet organizes Diakoniensdag every year since 2007, and has a diaconate leader forum that focuses on professional development. The foundation comprises four different businesses, all of which contribute to a holistic care offer.
