The academics are a main organization that represents people with higher education. The organization comprises 13 member associations and has almost 280,000 members. It works to advance its members' interests in politics, wages and collective bargaining, and aims to improve conditions for highly educated workers.
In addition to political influence, the Academics offer courses and conferences that are relevant to the members. The organization actively engages in debates related to working life and research, and takes part in the social debate on topics such as talent shortages and the labor market. Through their work, the Academics seek to be a clear voice for the highly educated in Norway.
