The Librarians' Association is a trade union that represents librarians in various sectors. The association aims to strengthen the profession and work for improvements in pay and working conditions for members. Through various activities and measures, they seek to raise the standard for the library profession and ensure that librarians get the recognition they deserve.
The association offers a number of courses and conferences, especially aimed at shop stewards, as well as specific events such as safety ombudsman conferences and employment law courses. In addition, they are actively involved in issues related to safety in the workplace and accommodation for members with special needs. The Swedish Library Association also works with Unio to promote librarians' interests and keep members up to date on news and developments within the library sector.
