Institut français de Norvège is a cultural center whose aim is to promote French language and culture in Norway. The center offers various programs for mobility between France and Norway, as well as seminars and training for French teachers. It collaborates with universities and research institutions to support education and research, and actively participates in international research projects.
In addition to the educational focus, the institute acts as a host for cultural events and exhibitions. It offers residencies for artists and researchers, and is engaged in francophone and cultural exchange. The institute also arranges bourses and scholarships for students who wish to study in France. It is worth noting that the media library is closed and French language courses have been outsourced. The institute is open to the public by appointment only.
