Kjelsås school's music band is an organization that offers a musical and socially engaging environment for young musicians. With an age range from 2nd grade to 3rd upper secondary school, the corps provides opportunities for learning instruments and collaboration across gender and age. The organization has approximately 100 members, who are divided into three corps: the main corps, the junior corps and the aspirant corps.
The band emphasizes both individual and collective musical development. With opportunities to play alone, in small groups and in large ensembles, Kjelsås school's music band promotes collaboration through concerts and activities during the year. To ensure good follow-up of the first-year musicians, they have also established two aspirant groups. This contributes to an inclusive and supportive environment for all members.
