Musikkforlegrne is an organization that works for the rights of music publishers and authors. Through their work, they contribute to increasing the use of music, which in turn can lead to increased income for creators. The organization focuses on protecting and safeguarding rights, as well as managing payments and settlements related to music rights.
In addition to rights protection, Musikkforlegrne supports the creative process and makes Norwegian music publishers visible. They offer skills development and guidance to their members, and organize the Musikkforleggerprisen to recognize and celebrate outstanding work within the music publishing industry. The organization also assists with the start-up of music publishers, which can be an important resource for new players in the industry.
