Norske Barne- og Ungdomsbok-Forfattere is an organization that works to support and promote children's and youth literature in Norway. The organization offers scholarships and various support schemes for writers in these genres, as well as recommended contracts that can be useful for agents and for film rights. Through collaboration with Den kulturelle skolesekken, they contribute to literary tours, which give authors the opportunity to reach out to young readers.
In addition to financial support, the organization focuses on the reuse of literature in digital teaching aids and has introduced a new membership system for authors. Member meetings and professional gatherings are organized to strengthen the network and expertise among the members. Norske Barne- og Ungdomsbok-Forfattere also awards awards and prizes for outstanding contributions to literature, as well as publishes travelogues and cultural exchanges from authors, which contributes to enriching the literary community.
