SKOKS - Queer Arts and Culture Center is a center dedicated to promoting art and culture for queers and their allies. The center functions as a safe meeting place where community and artistic activity can flourish. Through a varied programme, SKOKS offers a platform for cross-generational and interdisciplinary art, and aims to include different perspectives and expressions.
The center has an active volunteer center that provides free access to programming and events. SKOKS organizes festivals and activities throughout the year, and not just in connection with Pride. In addition, the center has a library section that includes the "Living Archive" and "Banned Books", which help preserve and make available important literature and art history. SKOKS receives support from several cultural institutions and organisations, which underlines the importance of their work in society.
