The Norwegian Dental Association, founded on 15 October 1884, functions as a professional and trade union for dentists in Norway. The association is connected to the Academics and aims to look after the members' academic and financial interests. It offers professional support and resources, as well as courses and continuing education for dentists, which helps to maintain a high level of competence in dentistry.
In addition to member benefits and discounts, the association engages in health policy and works to promote oral health in the population. It also provides information on law and working life related to dental health, and supports local dental associations. NTF arranges national meetings and professional gatherings to strengthen collegial relations and share knowledge among members. Patient information and information about dental health is also an important part of the association's work.
