Bjørndal Frivilligsentral and Bjørndal Fritidsklubb offer a varied program for residents of Oslo, with a focus on outdoor activities and community. The center organizes monthly stock evenings and has a baby meeting for parents with children aged 0-12 months. In addition to this, the annual Bjørndal summer festival is a highlight in the calendar, where the local community gathers to celebrate and participate in various activities.
There are also several groups and courses available for those interested. For example, yoga is offered for those who want to get in shape, as well as painting and drawing workshops for creative souls. Mindfulness exercises are open to everyone, and cooking classes are organized for adults with registration. Norwegian courses are conducted in collaboration with NoTe Norwegian Teaching, and there is also an engaged fathers' group and a garden group for garden enthusiasts. Volunteers contribute actively by organizing and leading various activities, which promotes community and involvement in the local environment.
