The Peace Corps is a non-profit organization that works with international labor exchange. The organization offers grants to promote the exchange of labor between Norway and other countries, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and skills development. The Peace Corps also has an independent evaluation department that assesses Norwegian development cooperation, which helps to ensure the quality and effect of the projects.
In addition to grants and evaluation, the Peace Corps acts as a resource bank for labor exchange and international jobs. The organization promotes democracy by supporting various schemes and has a particular focus on increasing Norwegian participation in the UN and other international organisations. The Swedish Peace Corps also offers support schemes for former exchange participants, as well as compact courses and events for skills development. Norec, part of the Peace Corps, contributes to Norway's efforts towards the UN's sustainability goals.
