Matsentralen Norge is a non-profit organization that functions as a network of eight food centres. The organization aims to reduce food waste by connecting surplus food from the food industry with non-profit organisations. This helps to help disadvantaged people throughout the country, while promoting sustainable solutions.
Through its work, Matsentralen Norge supports local initiatives and community engagement. The organization focuses on safeguarding both food, people and the environment, and contributes to the achievement of several of the UN's sustainability goals, including the eradication of poverty and hunger. By redistributing surplus food, Matsentralen Norge plays an important role in creating a more sustainable future.
